Today, the Juno spacecraft launched on a five year mission to Jupiter. Our father was a co-investigator on the project and helped design and construct the magnetometers that flew on the satellite. Many family members were present to watch the launch at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. I am positive dad watched it too. His legacy lives on, the spirit of exploration he exemplified will be with us always – and continue for all humanity. Our thoughts and hearts soared with you today dad. Godspeed.
Un aporte a la ciencia, la humanidad y al mismo tiempo un pasaje a la inmortalidad. Mario seguirá vivo en la memoria de sus seres queridos y en la de sus amigos, pero también en sus aportes a la tecnología espacial. Bravo Mario !!.

Although I did not know your father, I have come to know your mother through our common journey with MM and widowhood. I just want you to know that every time I hear a story about the shuttle or NASA, I think of the contribution your father made and of your family’s pride in all he did. I am glad you all continue to experience his connection to all of you.

Fuí muy amigo de Mario con el que trabajamos mucho en el primer proyecto satelital de la Argentina. Hace unos meses recibí la gran, por así decirlo, distinción que se me pidiera contribuir a un artículo sobre Mario a publicarse en los anales de la Academia de Ciencias de USA. Gran parte ya la tengo lista, pero me están faltando datos y anécdotas de su juventud. Por eso me gustaría ponerme en contacto contigo.
